Norwegian player: Haaland gave us advice at midfield; he and Odegaard are both excellent leaders

In the 9th round of Group I of the European Zone of the World Cup Qualifiers, the Norwegian team defeated Estonia 4-1 at home and basically locked in a direct quota for the World Cup. The two teams tied 0-0 in the first half, and the Norwegian home fans even booed. Serlot and Haaland each scored two goals in the second half. Norway midfielder Tolsby spoke about Haaland's half-time speech.

He said: "Haaland was very calm. He gave us confidence and told everyone, 'We will solve the problem, boys. We can score goals, just keep working hard.' And this confidence is exactly what we need."

Tolsby also said that both Haaland and Odegaard have "made huge progress" as leaders and have gradually taken on more responsibilities. He said: "They have a better understanding of their impact on the rest of us, and the words and deeds of both of them will affect the entire team."

Defender Hegem revealed: "Haaland said that we need to give him more crosses and send the ball into the penalty area as much as possible, especially when the opponent shrinks their defense. This is really effective. You can see that it had an effect after 5 minutes of playing in the second half."
