Taoyuan Caoluo Sand Dunes extend 8.1 kilometers, which is a typical coastal dune terrain. It starts from the mouth of the old street in Dayuan District in the north and ends at the mouth of the Dabori River in the south. Due to the influence of the strong northeastern season and southern wind, the drifted sand that blows down to the local area is piled up into sand dunes.

Caoluo Sand Dunes Coast was selected as one of the "Nine Coastal Lines to Be Protected in Taiwan". It has rich salt-resistant and wind-resistant plants and coral reef ecology, which can prevent wind-flying sand and avoid coastal lines from regressing, and at the same time, it maintains sand-shore green forests.

Rows of electric-emitting vehicles and coastlines travel together, the absurd and quiet scenery and the beautiful sunset attract the film "The Untold Secret" and the TV series "The Lord Polite" to come and shoot. In 2020, Caoluo Sand Dunes Geometric Park was completed and put into use, becoming the first sand dunes Geometric Park in the country, for tourists to visit for free.

Scenic features

Along the Taiwan 61 line, we arrive at Caoluo Sand Dunes Geopark, alias Chaoyinhai Scenic Trail. The establishment of this park is to effectively utilize Taoyuan’s unique sand dunes landscape resources, combine the local community to protect it independently, and allow the relationship between people and nature to achieve harmony.

Caoluo Sand Dunes are the widest and most complete dune terrain on the coast of Taiwan. The dunes are kept at 10 to 20 meters all year round. The dunes will increase again during the Northeast stratosphere. Due to the rich and varied changes in the dune texture and cross-section levels, it is extremely valuable.

The sand dunes created by the power of tides and ocean currents not only have visual value, but also prevent the coast from retreating due to invasion, forming special terrain and terrain such as sea high cities and coastal deserts. It is less visible than other areas, and can be regarded as the Taoyuan landscape!

In June 2020, the Taoyuan Municipal Government ranked Caoluo Sand Dunes as the first geological park in the city, and it is still the only dune-shaped geological park in Taiwan. It is an irreplaceable existence and is one of the most beautiful coastlines worth guarding in Taiwan's Nine.

Caoluo Shaqin starts from the mouth of the old street in Dayuan District in the north and ends at the mouth of the Dabori River in the south. It covers an area of 284 cm and is divided into the core area (18 cm), the rehabilitation area (22 cm), and the general area (244 cm), and is managed in a graded and zone manner.

The core area has the most complete dune type. In order to protect precious natural resources, it is only for academic research and environmental education application and use; the rehabilitation area is the location of the landfill site and is subject to environmental monitoring, and only staff can enter; the general area is open to the public to enter and exit freely, providing leisure and leisure and leisure use..

The Sahara Desert in Taoyuan! Taoyuan City Government opened the Chaoyin Sea Scenic Trail in Caoluo Sand Dunes, using driftwood as the entrance image, setting up a viewing platform, rest seats, wooden stadium, Huangji Trail and other facilities, and setting up an explanation of the brand to explain the reasons for the formation of Caoluo Sand Dunes.

With the Zhangjia Ancient House located at the entrance of the trail, the quaint Zhangjia Ancient House has a century-old history and the ancient buildings are still well preserved. The Zhangjia Ancient House still has residents living there. Visitors must remain calm and do not bring trouble to the locals when visiting.

After careful look, you can find a hundred-year-old well, which is quite novel!

There is a century-old tree in front of the gate of the Zhangjia Ancient House, with seats and interpreters under the tree.

The surrounding area is surrounded by wooden cushions, with seats and shades for tourists to rest, and a bicycle parking area is provided.

Tourists have to cross the 200-meter-long Huangji Trail to see the sand dunes of Chaoyin Sea. The hibiscus trail is named after the hibiscus. It has the functions of wind, sand and moisture resistance, and is also salt-resistant and drought-resistant, which is very suitable for growing on the coast. Since the leaves of hibiscus can be used as pillows for steaming cakes and cakes, hibiscus is also called "kiu sashimi tree" and "cake tree".

The prosperous and lush Huang jin almost covered what he saw, and he couldn't even find a complete sky when he leaned down. This shows its vigorous vitality, and the green scene is also known as the "Taoyuan Dragon Cat Tunnel". Walking on the short kimonopogon Trail, even if it is hot and hot, it feels very refreshing.

Passing through a small hibiscus forest, you will reach Caoluo Sand Dunes. There is a second-floor viewing platform next to the trail. The viewing platform is very beautiful. You can sit down and look at the entire Caoluo Sand Dunes coast. It is more suitable for coming to Caoluo Sand Dunes to see the sunny sun at dusk and feel the tranquility of the red clouds dyeing the sky.

The viewing platform is equipped with a chair for a short rest, avoiding the hot light for a short time, taking a photo with the wind powered electric car behind you, and enjoying the wind blowing of the sea.

Leaving the viewing platform, we continue to move towards Caoluo Sand Dunes. After arriving, we have a feeling of being in the desert. There are many wind-proof bamboo pigs that cover the sand dunes to prevent the sand from scattering. Looking away, we can see the endless blue sea and blue sky, and see the most rare and beautiful coastline in Taoyuan.

Standing in the Taiwanese version of the Sahara Desert, paired with a row of tall wind power generators beside it, it seems to be coming to an inhuman state, and the silence and beauty of the mulberry and desert are scattered everywhere.

If you come before sunrise and sunset, you will feel happy in an instant when you see the beautiful scenery.

The coastal dunes are in a water-deficient, strong, salty and large temperature difference. Only a few seaweed plants can grow, so a unique dune ecosystem has developed. People can see the species such as macadamia vine, vine, forest, casuarina, and yellow hibiscus. In addition, the local park can also see the shadows of the celestial chrysanthemum.

Also because the drought-tolerant plants in the dunes are low, there is no shelter here. It is very popular for sand to blow into the eyes. It is reminded that when you are interested in the scenery, you should pay attention to water replenishment and sun protection. It is recommended to wear sun lenses or eye masks to avoid sand.

Watch the magnificent power of the wind car at close range, relax your body and mind while blowing the wind. Friends, love and family come to the sea to take a walk along the sea. You may as well walk on the waves and play in the water, but be careful of your own safety.

In addition, we must jointly maintain the beautiful landscape of the sea desert, and see garbage lifted up with your hands to leave it with a more beautiful scenery for the next person.
