According to reports, a stray kitten was stuck in the sewer of Xiamen University and could not move. Fortunately, it was discovered by an attentive student, and with the help of many enthusiastic classmates in time, the kitten was finally rescued and helped the kitten find its mother. This group of enthusiastic students watched the mother cat leave with the kitten.

In the evening, the Lingyun male dormitory building of Xiamen University.

Xiao Chen, who lives on the 5th floor, came to the public bathroom on the 4th floor and suddenly heard a cat meowing. The cry was weak and subtle, and seemed to come from the balcony next to him. He went over and saw that the balcony was empty, with no trace of the cat.

However, the meowing continued.

Xiao Chen couldn't believe his ears, because the cry came from here, and it came from underground.

He turned on the light of his mobile phone, squatted down, and checked the drainage hole on the ground. Oh my god, a kitten's head suddenly appeared in the second drainage hole!

The kitten's eyes were slightly open, and its head was motionless. The diameter of the drainage hole was 3~4cm. Xiao Chen concluded that the kitten's head must be stuck in the drainage hole on the fourth floor, while its body was still in the drainage pipe under the ceiling on the third floor.

The balcony next to the public bathroom is rarely used by people, and underneath the drainage hole is a drainage pipe with a diameter of about 15cm.

Xiao Chen knew that there was no water in the drain pipe, and the kitten should be able to hold on for a while longer. One person was short-sighted and two others were long-sighted. He decided to wait until the others came back at night to rescue them together.

Look! Students are rescuing

8:30 pm.

Xiao Cai, a classmate from the dormitory next door, came back. Xiao Chen excitedly called him to the balcony on the fourth floor: "Look, there is a cat trapped in the drainage pipe!"

Two other stranger classmates heard the news and rushed over. The four of them shined flashlights at the drainage hole and shouted: "Strange, how could a cat get into this?!"

Curiosity is a curiosity, and rescue is the most important thing. The four people began to discuss countermeasures.

They went to the balcony on the third floor and brought a chair and stool. Xiao Cai, who was the tallest, climbed up, reached out to unscrew the cover on the side of the drain pipe, and used a flashlight to check the situation.

The kitten’s body was nearly 2 meters away from the drainage pipe opening. Xiao Cai could not see its head, so it was definitely stuck in the drainage hole on the fourth floor.

There was a thin wooden stick with an iron hook tied to the side. A classmate said: "Just use this to hook it out!" Xiao Cai and other three people did not agree. If an iron hook is used, the kitten may be hurt.

But the kitten must have been trapped for a long time. What if it can’t hold on if it is dragged any longer? Thinking of this, the classmate who suggested using an iron hook became worried: “You have to try it, I’ll hook it!” He climbed onto the stool and the other three people held him steady.

The kitten obviously doesn’t understand that everyone is here to save it. As soon as the iron hook touched its body, it dodged desperately as if it was electrocuted: hooked on its belly, it twisted away; hooked on its hind legs, it lifted the leg and avoided it again. The students were angry and funny, but it was ineffective.

"Maybe its head is stuck, so we can't hook it even if we try?" Xiao Cai suggested that someone go to the fourth floor and use a tool to press down on the kitten's head.

What tool should I use? A clothes drying pole? Will it poke the kitten’s eyes? Xiao Chen took a small towel and wrapped it on the clothes drying pole and climbed to the balcony on the fourth floor.

Upstairs, press the kitten’s head with a clothes drying rod; downstairs, use a hook to pull the kitten outward. "It's moving! It's moving!" Everyone shouted excitedly as they watched the thin wooden sticks inserted into the drainage pipe come out little by little.

The kitten was finally rescued, and the students hugged it down!
