This game will be the sequel to the Legendary Game played at Anfield earlier this year, where the Chelsea Legends hope to take revenge and raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players Trust to support former players who contribute to the club.
As part of the club's 120th anniversary celebration, several Chelsea legends will return to Stamford Bridge, including 2012 Champions League champions coach Roberto DiMatio and captain John Terry.
Di Matteo said: "I am very happy to coach Chelsea Legends again. We will strive to take revenge after Anfield's defeat, bring a great event for our fans and raise important funds for the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players Trust."
Terry added: "In my career, Chelsea's match against Liverpool has always been full of fierce competition. I am looking forward to the mercy of the mercenary in October. Good cause reignites these old competitions. As captaining for more than 15 years, the Chelsea Foundation and Chelsea Players Trust are very important to me. ”
In the 120-year history of Chelsea, the Blues have fought against Liverpool in many historic matches, including the 2012 FA Cup final victory, multiple Champions League matches, and the important victory in the final round of the Premier League in 2002/03.
Chelsea Foundation CEO Laura Cordingley: "We are very excited to host this legendary match at Stamford Bridge as part of the club's 120th anniversary celebration. It will be a special celebration while supporting the work of the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Player Trust. The funds raised will be crucial for us to continue to play an active role in the community and support the welfare of former players."
