Before the 2025/26 season, Wolves made several adjustments to the football department structure, including the appointment of important personnel.
As one of the club's continued commitment to strengthening the professional environment and improving the operational efficiency of various departments, Domenico Teti was appointed as the club's new professional football director. With extensive experience in Europe and the Middle East, Teti will be a member of the football leadership team and is committed to improving the strategy and planning of professional teams and first teams, promoting better collaboration, and ensuring unity and coherence within the professional system.
Matt Jackson joined the club in 2021 and will now serve as the newly established Director of Player Introduction and Development. He will work closely with Teti and other senior football divisions, while also focusing on a wider range of club affairs, including the Youth Training Academy and Wolves Women’s Football Team. The football leadership team also includes Phil Hayward, who is the new player performance director, is responsible for the club's comprehensive strategy in sports science, psychology, player health and well-being.
The long-time Matt Wild will continue to serve as Director of Football Operations and Management, fully responsible for football affairs, financial efficiency and compliance governance of football business.
Finally, Max Fitzgerald serves as Director of Public Relations and Communications, whose newly defined responsibilities will focus on media relations, internal communications and the coordination of the club's departments.
All positions are reported directly to Wolves executive chairman Shi Yu, and a leadership team is formed at the Compton Park Training Base to jointly provide consistent and strong support to head coach Vittor Pereira and the first team.
