The TSMC Games made a grand debut at the Hsinchu Stadium on Saturday (8th). In addition to NVIDIA (NVIDIA) CEO Jen-Hsun Huang's personal appearance to stir up conversation, a pair of "tsmc" sneakers on the feet of Chairman Wei Zhejia also caused a lot of discussion.

Wei Zhejia said at the sports meeting that he has deep confidence in TSMC's growth and that the company will continue to surpass itself. Not only in 2025, TSMC will reach new highs every year in the future. On his feet, he wore a pair of black and white sneakers with the word "tsmc" printed on them and matching red lines, which also became the focus of everyone's attention.

TSMC staff previously revealed that these were the only shoes in Taiwan that were specially customized by Wei Zhejia when he went to the United States to participate in the semiconductor exhibition "SEMICON WEST". Wei Zhejia responded that this pair of shoes was given by a friend at a company party, and predicted that "you should be able to buy them next year," which means that the company may launch this pair of shoes next year to match with sportswear.

Interestingly, these shoes actually come from an MIT shoe factory in Kaohsiung. According to a post posted by "Biaohu Shoes Industry" on the fan club, this pair of shoes was specially designed with the theme of TSMC in 2018 as a proposal shoe for the then TSMC founder Zhang Zhongmou. It is hoped that one day TSMC can also wear their own customized shoes. Although the proposal has not been promoted for the time being, it was unexpected that Wei Zhejia would wear it himself seven years later.

"Biaohu Shoes" also said, "We couldn't help but get excited when we saw the pair of shoes on the feet of Chairman Wei Zhejia - sneakers in black, white and red with the TSMC logo printed on them!" According to Mirror News, Xue Boxiang, general manager of Biaohu Shoes, said that the "tsmc" special shoes worn by Wei Zhejia during the Games were designed based on the chip concept and used a special sewing structure that would not degumming or become brittle after ten years of storage.

According to the official website, Biaohu was founded in 1988. At first, it mainly provided OEM services and undertook group shoes for public institutions. In 2004, it established its own brand and cooperated with Japanese designers to develop and design shoes. Over the past 30 years, Biao Hu has encountered many bottlenecks and setbacks, but he still insists on staying 100% MIT in Taiwan.

As of 2019, Biaohu has successfully developed a series of shoes with "ergonomic and biomechanical" arches and environmentally friendly shoes using the "glue-free molding method". The company also hopes to become Taiwan's century-old sustainable shoe brand and produce shoes that meet consumer needs and future trends.
